Popular suburban areas
Originally a town that developed around the 18th century, the Eberstadt district can be reached in 20 minutes from the city center on a south-bound tram. Mansions built in the early 20th century fill the northern area of the district, while high-rise apartments built in the late 20th century take up the west and south. Detached houses with gardens stand in the east, an area full of nature which faces a promenade where you can enjoy horse riding. The district is also home to Kao Manufacturing Germany GmbH.
Shopping in Eberstadt
Besides Rewe, Aldi, and nah und gut, there is the Obstmarkt Rückert, which offers local produce, and a Russian supermarket.
Parks in Eberstadt
The district does not have any large parks, but one can easily enjoy nature in the lush green of the surrounding forests.
